Brighten the season for the less fortunate in Nassau County by bringing donations for AIPCA’s annual Season of Giving food drive launching next week at Security Q&A on November 22. Your donations of non-perishable food items will be given to an outstanding local nonprofit organization: Gracie’s Kitchen. Gracie’s Kitchen is based in Yulee and provides hot dinners four days a week to those in need, as well as stocking a food pantry and pet supplies corner. A parade of ghosts, superheroes, witches and more will kick off a fang-tastic evening of holiday fun at The Oaks! Line-up of golf carts/low-speed vehicles will begin at 4:30 pm at Walker’s Landing. Grounds & Facilities last month placed mock-ups of planned new monument signs at AIPCA’s entry gates. This was to help pinpoint the best location for the permanent signs for visibility and safety. Oktoberfest returns to Food Truck Night at The Oaks, 203 Sea Marsh, for an evening of Bavarian-flavored fun highlighted by community member Chuck Comeau playing festive German favorites on the accordion! Wurstbusters will be in the parking lot serving traditional German favorites — bratwurst, currywurst, schnitzel and spaetzle and more.
