We’re kicking off the holiday season in AIP with good food, bright lights, and holiday cheer at Light Up The Oaks starting at 5:30 pm Friday, December 1.
We’ll flip the switch on the hundreds of festive lights decorating the community center at approximately 6:15 pm.
Children will enjoy storytime and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Watch popular short TV holiday classics on an outdoor screen. Try your hand at decorating an ornament to take home, or write Santa a letter and tell him what you really want this year.
Two food trucks will serve delicious food to enjoy onsite or take home. New South is a farm-to-fork food truck using locally and regionally harvested seasonal products in its innovative southern specialties. Making its first appearance at The Oaks, The Bronx Street Food serves up NYC “DominiGrecian” street food. That’s right, it’s a thing!
Head to the Clapper Rail for a hot chocolate from The Tavern by AIBC for $4 or add Baileys or vanilla vodka for $12. Craft beer for $6.50 and select wine for $7.50 available as well. Stop by the fire pit and make s’mores as our treat.
The Oaks main lot at 203 Sea Marsh will be closed for this event, so please park in The Oaks Lots B and C, located north and south of Ron Kolar Way.
