Brighten the season for the less fortunate in Nassau County by bringing donations for AIPCA’s annual Season of Giving food drive launching next week at Security Q&A on November 22.
Your donations of non-perishable food items will be given to an outstanding local nonprofit organization: Gracie’s Kitchen. Gracie’s Kitchen is based in Yulee and provides hot dinners four days a week to those in need, as well as stocking a food pantry and pet supplies corner.
Gracie’s Kitchen needs cereal, canned soups and stews, canned vegetables and fruits, pasta and pasta sauces, crackers and cookies, bottled water, juices and sports drinks, macaroni and cheese/boxed pasta meals, canned tuna and chicken, individual-sized snacks, fruit cups, apple sauce and noodles, and other non-perishable food items. No glass jars, please. Pop-top cans that don’t require a can opener are appreciated.
Wet and dry pet food, along with pet treats and toys, are needed.
Donations may be brought to The Oaks anytime from 8 am to 10 pm daily (except when closed for a private event). Please place food items in the decorated drop boxes inside the community center. Please do not leave items anywhere else in or outside The Oaks.
