WTA excitement returns to Racquet Park on March 23

As part of our AIP 50th anniversary celebrations, AIPCA will host “Game, Set, Match!” on Saturday, March 23, to mark the important role WTA tennis played in the history of AIP. Former AIP touring professional and resident Kathy Rinaldi will be joined by WTA standouts Ann Grossman and Brenda Schultz, who all competed at AIP, will return for a day of court-focused activities at Racquet Park. Rinaldi, who turned pro at age 14, was a WTA Top 10 professional tennis player in singles and doubles and reached the semifinals at all Grand Slam tournaments in singles/doubles or mixed. Full house for ‘Reverberations of the Revolution”

In partnership with the U.S. Constitution Scholarship Foundation, AIPCA hosted a presentation from EverScholar, “Reverberations of the Revolution,” on Monday, January 15, at Walker’s Landing. Moderated by AIPCA Board Member Owen Williams, the evening featured reflections on the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the founding fathers from Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, where he teaches constitutional law in both Yale College and Yale Law School. Join us as we ‘Light Up The Oaks’ December 1

We’re kicking off the holiday season in AIP with good food, bright lights, and holiday cheer at Light Up The Oaks starting at 5:30 pm Friday, December 1. We’ll flip the switch on the hundreds of festive lights decorating the community center at approximately 6:15 pm. Children will enjoy storytime and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Watch popular short TV holiday classics on an outdoor screen. Try your hand at decorating an ornament to take home, or write Santa a letter and tell him what you really want this year. Halloween Parade & Party October 31

A parade of ghosts, superheroes, witches and more will kick off a fang-tastic evening of holiday fun at The Oaks! Line-up of golf carts/low-speed vehicles will begin at 4:30 pm at Walker’s Landing. The parade will step off at 5 pm. Spectators are invited to view the parade as it snakes its way from Walker’s Landing to The Oaks, 203 Sea Marsh. Family activity rooms open at The Oaks July 1-5 Starting this Saturday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 5, the Sunset Rooms at The Oaks, 203 Sea Marsh, will be set with family-friendly games and activities.
