Get an insider’s perspective on Amelia Island’s colorful boatbuilding and shrimping history at our next Thoughtful Thursday at 5 pm July 27 at The Oaks, 203 Sea Marsh.
Amelia Island native Nick Deonas is the last of the wood boatbuilders and he’ll take us through every step of building a trawler, with many back stories about the building process and the shrimping industry.
Doors will open at 4:30 pm to mix and mingle with neighbors around the Clapper Rail. Wine and beer available for purchase.
